Who is Joe Haden?



Joe Haden is an American football cornerback for the Pittsburgh Steelers of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the University of Florida, and was drafted by the Browns in the first round of the 2010 NFL Draft.

Haden has been selected to the Pro Bowl three times, and was a first-team All-Pro selection in 2014. He has also been named to the NFL All-Rookie Team and the NFL All-Star Game. Haden was born in Fort Washington, Maryland. He attended Friendly High School in Fort Washington, where he played high school football for the Patriots. He was rated as a five-star recruit by Rivals.com, and was ranked as the No. 1 cornerback in the nation. Haden accepted an athletic scholarship to attend the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida, where he played for coach Urban Meyer's Florida Gators football team from 2007 to 2009. As a freshman in 2007, he started 11 of 13 games, recording 46 tackles and two interceptions. As a sophomore in 2008, Haden started all 13 games, recording 50 tackles and four interceptions. He was a key player on a defense that helped the Gators win the BCS National Championship Game. As a junior in 2009, Haden started all 13 games, recording 54 tackles and two interceptions. He was a key player on a defense that helped the Gators win their second consecutive BCS National Championship Game. After his junior season, Haden decided to forgo his senior season and enter the 2010 NFL Draft. He was drafted by the Cleveland Browns with the seventh overall pick. In his rookie season, Haden started all 16 games, recording 59 tackles and six interceptions. He was named to the NFL All-Rookie Team. In 2011, Haden started all 16 games, recording 73 tackles and four interceptions. In 2012, Haden started all 16 games, recording 66 tackles and three interceptions. In 2013, Haden started all 16 games, recording 73 tackles and four interceptions. He was selected to his first Pro Bowl. In 2014, Haden started all 16 games, recording 58 tackles and two interceptions. He was selected to his second Pro Bowl and was a first-team All-Pro selection. In 2015, Haden started all 16 games, recording 54 tackles and two interceptions. He was selected to his third Pro Bowl. In 2016, Haden started all 16 games, recording 52 tackles and one interception. In 2017, Haden started all 16 games, recording 58 tackles and two interceptions. He was selected to his fourth Pro Bowl.
